It's in the opinion of some people that the controls of the Wii allow precision, and with the new peripheral Wii Motion Plus, that's certainly true. The Wii is the top selling home console to date, and I imagine the draw is the Wii motion controls. So yes, I now have troubles with my wrist. Maybe it doesn't affect others like it does myself, but I believe that I have a responsibility to share my experience with this game in a honest and unbiased manner. I think the right thing to do is let others know what's happened to me. However, because of this new version complete with Wii controls, I know have pains in my wrist that I've never had before. In closing, Metroid Prime Trilogy is top of the line, best Wii game ever. However, i played all 3 of these games 3 times over, from to finish. And sure for those of you who MP on the gamecube, it is the same game as it was. I felt that this game was more visually pleasing than things that had top of the line graphics. Granted the graphics may not be the best, but the games need them. The motion control was great because it made you feel like you were samus giving Ridley some plasma charged death. And i didn't have any wristpain from the controls. Every time i got an upgrade or won a boss fight, i wanted jump up and scream like i had just won the superbowl. No inter-character story pushing you forward, just a big and beautiful alien world that you can't wait to explore further. As you progress and defeat ever more difficult bosses, you gain more abilities that make you able to reach places you couldn't reach before. And then it drops you into a fascinating, completely alien world with many of the abilities you had at the beginning disabled, and the only hints you have about where to go next are where you can reach, plus the occasional map marking from scan data. It doesn't feel like gameplay is interrupted for instructions. in a natural way as you go through the intro area. The beginning introduces you to the basics of your controls - press to shoot, do to scan, etc. Retro Studios did a fantastic job transferring the experience of the original Metroid games into an immersive 3D environment.
